Name Tracing Worksheet Maker

Type a name, choose capitals or lowercase, and print a tracing sheet in a clear school font. The first row shows the name in black, five rows of light gray letters follow for tracing, and the last row is left empty to write it alone.

How to use the sheet

Start with the black row: say each letter's name and trace it with a finger. Then trace over the gray letters with a pencil, starting each letter at the top line. Lowercase letters fill the space between the dashed middle line and the baseline, and tall letters reach the top line. The empty row at the bottom is for writing the name without help.

For a preschooler, print the name in capitals first. Once capitals are easy, print the same name in lowercase with only the first letter capitalized, the way it is written on school work.

Doodlesaurus draws this worksheet in your browser. The name you type stays on this page.
